Chosen Solution

The car starts ok when it is cold but once the engine is hot it will mot start until it cools down.

My Saab 9-3 Turbo does this, sometimes after it rains too. I think it is likely the CPS - Crank Position Sensor. Or possibly the O2 sensor. I heard if you try to start it and the rpms stay at zero it means it is the CPS. Keep in mind, I am not a mechanic, but may be worth checking. Good luck!
