Chosen Solution
So I’ve got this controller ever since I opened the Xbox one box, so I joined a party to play CoD: Advanced Warfare but my batteries were low and my mic was plugged in and I didn’t wanted my controller to turn off suddenly so I said why not plug in a USB wire so that It won’t run out of batteries while playing, but then suddenly my mic stopped working but my controller is lighten up but for some reason not working, I pressed every button still nothing.. Help?

Usually smashing the controller against a fellow member of the houses head fixes it. It has something to do with a glitch in Microsofts sofware. Any more questions just ask. Signing off, PC MASTER RACE
To fix it for me I just restarted my Xbox and my controller started to work again, I hope this helps anyone coming looking for an answer too!
what you do is unplug your xbox one for 30 seconds and if that doesn’t work you must data wipe it
