In addition to the lens not retracting, there is an “E” blinking next to the power button. When I push the power button, it just makes a grinding noise. and sometimes it makes the grinding noise (kind of like when you used to have to manually change to take the next picture in the disposable camera’s) and turns itself off. The picture button does not do anything.
jeanspiv526 Check on here for some more information and potential fixes. Personally I have had not much luck with those and replaced the lenses on cameras. Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Lens Unit Replacement Definitely worth a try.
