Hello, i got a LG 50LB5800 pretty cheap because it apparently needed a few backlight leds replaced. Originally the screen would turn on but it was dark and would flash consistently every few seconds but it wouldnt turn off on its own yet. After ordering and installing the new LED strips i could only get 3/5 strips to light up. Tech friend checked it out said voltages were low need power supply board. After i ordered and installed the power supply board all the strips would now light up the same however now the screen will come on for about 20 seconds and like a slight blink or shutter then the display will fade away leaving a dark blue screen with audio still but cannot press buttons or bring picture back untill i power off and on with the same end result. ive been messing with it everyday after work with no fix yet so i decided to order a tcon board, changed that and nothing still same fade away. Note that 3 of the backlight strips have no connectors so i had to hardwire them to the pads on the actual led strip in front of where the connector would plug into. The other 7 strips have there original connectors. is my display fried? everything looks fine inside and ive swapped everything except for main board dont know what to do next or just cut loss and buy a new tv before this cheap tv project becomes more exspensive then a new set. Thank you for your time.

Trevor James. Check and see if you can see the backlight being on when this “leaving a dark blue screen with audio “ happens. The dark blue is usually the backlight staying on but not getting a signal. I am not sure about how you replaced the LED/s and how you wired those etc. This could ultimately be a main board issue(T-con board a possibility) but double check all your work. If you still can, post some images of your LED connections etc with your QUESTION. Adding images to an existing question
