Okay. so today my replacement battery came in (yes)! It was definitely in need of a battery considering how the battery showed signs of swelling when I took it out. With that said, I have a new issue: the display. My phone’s screen will no longer turn on. I tried reseating the ribbon cable, to no effect. Has anyone else had this issue?
I have had the same issue try unplug the battery then connect the display then plug the battery in , that worked for me even after I replaced the display with a new one , if it don’t work the 1st time try it again , then ribbon sometimes is not seated so good but always unplug the battery , then connect the display then the battery . Good luck , this always worked for me.
The LCD is extremely fragile. Removing the screen almost certainly will damage the display, no matter how carefully it’s removed unfortunately. You likely need a new screen.
