I have got a 98 Dodge ram 1500 360 engine and when I turn the defrost on it gets very warm and then it gets cold turns off cold I’ve done it back for us twice but new antifreeze in it put a new thermostat in it the water pump is good and on the driver side the heater core hose gets warm but on the pesticide the heater core hose is hot otherwise everything checks out what can it be any suggestions could it be the switch maybe burned out on defrost please help anybody
Connie I edit it for you . To your question I ask some questions . Does the heater work all the time or does it shut off as well ? If the heater works, when the defroster shuts off is it just the fans that quit or is it still running and is the air cold thats blowing out? Have you back flushed the heater core .
