I bought a Kenmore stackable washer/dryer second hand. The timer did not work on the dryer and other than that the unit worked fine. The dryer started getting really hot when on and then all of a sudden does not heat up anymore. The dryer barrel still turns and there is just no heat. Model No. 110.88752792
Hi, Check that the hi-limit thermostat, part #19, dryer bulkhead parts diagram is OK. There is also an operating thermostat (see part #5, dryer bulkhead parts diagram) which should regulate the temperature, that may also be worth checking. The hi-limit thermostat is a safety device that prevents the dryer from overheating and causing a fire so maybe the operating thermostat is also faulty.
