When I load a Dvd in the slot it stays in for about 30 seconds while it makes a type of beeping sound like its searching for something to connect but then it just ejects the disc.
It could need cleaning but may have gone bad. I really recommend an external DVD drive like LaCie makes as they will move to your next5 machine. They last longer and cost less. Here’s one: http://www.lacie.com/us/products/product…
