The other day I was setting up a shoulder rig for my GH5S. I had it connected to a v mount battery with a EVF connected to the hdmi and powered via Dtap on the V mount battery. It was working at first but then when I tried to turn the camera on again nothing happened. I noticed when I unplug the EVF (via HDMI) the camera was able to power on. Eventually I noticed that the Dtap had somehow let me insert it in upside down. I put it the correct way around and everything was working as normal again except for the HDMI out on the camera. I tried multiple monitors, cables, and settings and have confirmed it to be a problem with the camera itself. When you connect a hdmi both the camera and monitor acknowledge that they have made a connection but a signal is never sent. I fear i have fried a chipset. Does anyone know how to fix it? I am good with fiddly electronics but sourcing parts is almost impossible.
