I woke up today to my imac shut down on its own. Every time I try to turn it back on, it starts for like a minute, and while on the loading screen, it shuts down again. I must say I live on a solar system, and my landlord has been too cheap to replace the batteries, and been using an old gas generator every night now for the past month which makes many of my appliances makes fluctuating noises.

It maybe time to look for a better place to live or find some way to reduce your power needs, Do you have LED lights in all of your lighting? Are you reducing your heat/cooling needs? Have you spoken to your local city (county) housing court to push your landlord to fix the solar systems batterys. Maybe you’ll need to withhold your rent putting it in to an escrow account to prove you have the funds, just wanting to get the problem fixed. You’ll release the funds when the issue is resolved (you may need some to get your system fixed).
