My iPhone has water damage, screen works, but the home button doesn;t work. I put it in rice but it still doesn’t work

Might be the chances of home button bad connection point might be damage by water.First clean the pin and see.If the same change the new one that working or not.If after the change same that you have to check by changing dock connector flex too. Remember apple encrypt that home button that is compatible for only one.If the new home button change and works you loose the finger sensor but only home button works for menu purpose.
