My ipod 5th Generation is stuck on a very barely visible apple logo. When ever i try to reboot the phone, the logo slowly goes away, but then the barley visible apple logo reappears. What is wrong with my device? when i plug it into a computer, itunes does not recognize it and neither does the computer. please help!

I know whats going on!! Is the screen working? can you use it?The reason it not being recognized is because it is out of date. So the only possible way to get it known, is to use a different version of iTunes.
