hi, my ipod lost all charge in a second and will not charge or respond at all….. it is just dead!
Hi @ilana! If your battery is no longer holding a charge, it’s likely that it needs to be replaced. While we lack a guide for replacing the battery, we do have this teardown, which has been helpful in the past, and this question which serves as useful reference.
What if I can’t connect to the iTunes? I mean the iTunes can’t detect my iPod? Is there any other option?
Sounds like it has an hardware or software clash and you could try these tips:
- Try resetting the iPod Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next connect the iPod to the computer, if it shows in iTunes restore the iPod via iTunes
- Next see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so it can be restored.
