After a recent repair of a broken headphone jack the screen isn’t acting properly. The ipod wont scroll up or down, but works side to side and i can tap with out a problem. What would i need to replace to fix this problem? Would i need to replace the whole screen its self or something in the motherboard area?
It’s possible that the digitizer isn’t fully connected to the motherboard or the cable may have been pinched between the LCD and mid frame. You will have to disassemble to confirm. I had a problem with a deadspot on a recent digitizer fix, I lifted the screen and pressed down on the mother board where the digitizer connects which solved the problem because the connector wasn’t fully seated. This might work in your case as well.
i have a ipod touch and for some reason it wont scroll up or down and it wont slide you have to double tap it to get on something
