Hi, I have clean installed OSX El capitan on my Macbook Late 2008 Aluminium using a USB drive. Upgraded from snow leopard. Now the Keyboard is not responding or not working. When I press any key in the keyboard the keyboard viewer shows the letter typed but it is not giving output, Caps lock button glows when pressed, Any key press gives sound. Tried options like mouse keys on and off, nothing works. Now, I want to get into boot options and re install back to snow leopard but the keyboard on macbook is not working. USB keyboard is only working post boot but not before boot. Need help here. Is this a hardware problem or software.
Very odd! Can you get to the control panel using the trackpad or external mouse? If you can you should be able to alter the startup disk options. With the bootable USB drive installed you should be able to select it as the boot drive and then hit the restart button in the control panel to have the system startup under the external drive (Snow Leopard)
