Chosen Solution
I have re-installed the latest OS and it still will not load up after I have entered the password. Any ideas how I can get the thing to work?!?!?
Now forgive me because I’m no Mac Genius, but I’m not sure if this would be a Hard Drive related issue or not, because you were able to reinstall Mac OS onto the computer. After entering the Password, it just hangs? Did you have a data back up prior to this incident? Update: According to Apple Forums, this issue was noted on Yosemite and High Sierra, although the solution was to Boot into Safe Mode, and restart. What you will need to do in your case is hold the power button until it fully powers off, and then power it back on holding down the Shift key immediately after hearing the start up tone. Then when the Apple logo appears release the Shift key and Mac boots into Safe Mode. Reboot from Safe Mode and try normal boot.
