My left stick goes up and down but not left and right when plugged into the switch adapter. It only reads up and down. When I plugged the controller into the Wii the controller read as holding down right the whole time. Reset controller w/ x,y, and start, but when I let go of the buttons it just scrolled again.
Use some glass cleaner to clean the contacts on the board with a soft cloth. Also clean where the joystick contacts the board. It sounds like there could be something on the board that is causing the controller to signal moving to the right.
