I had two partitions of which one I deleted. Now Mavericks partition remains and free spaces on top of it. I am unable to resize the main partition and claim the free spaces left above. How should I do it?
If you have good backup of your Mac then you can delete both the partitions and re-install OS X to a single drive. But do so only when you have exact copy of your existing Mac. Another way is to opt for Stellar Partition Manager to resize Mac drive in bootable environment. Since disk utility wouldn’t do it you have to rely on a 3rd party software.
