i’ve had this macbook for 7 years, but randomly stopped turning on at all. in my 7 years it needed no repairs at all. i thought the battery just gave up so i replaced it myself yesterday and cleaned the insides too with a brush. the laptop turned on but only ran on the remaining charge and would say “battery not charging”. while i still had some charge left i reset the pram and the smc, neither of which helped. now, the battery is drained and doesn’t charge so i’m back to where i was pre-replacement. i’m guessing a different part is faulty and needs fixing/replacing but i’m a noob at this and don’t know much. all answers are greatly appreciated, thank you.
