Hello! I’m desperate. My Macbook suffered from spill damage and I sent the Mac to an Apple Store to fix it. They said it was a Tier 4 repair so they “repaired” the logic board, battery, magsafe connector… It was fine for a few days but then the dreaded X icon on the battery appeared. Since I live in another country where there no Apple Stores, I couldn’t take it back. I realized that putting some pressure with my fingers where the battery was fixed the issue, but just momentarily. I thought it was the battery so I replaced it myself and it worked for a few days, and then the X appeared again. I went on putting some pressure again and the problem was fixed, again, but momentarily. I’ve tried the SMC, PRAM, everything. But sometimes just behaves strange, like I apply some pressure and then disconnect the charger cable and the battery says is still charging and it stays on without problems. Could you please help me identify what’s causing the issue?

At this point I think you’ll need to pull the logic board and check to see if the insulating sheet behind the keyboard is not damaged as well if the logic board is correctly mounted (missing screws and/orthe wrong screws used.
