Clearly you didn’t puncture it so thats good! But a dent can also effect the innards! Lithium Ion batteries are made up of layers like a cake. You don’t want to press the anode to the cathode together through the separator sheet as that can cause a short which likewise can cause a runaway chemical reaction. So hopefully the dent is not deep!
