Chosen Solution
I was using my MacBook Pro smoothly last night. Then after waking up this morning all of a sudden the keyboard and trackpad stopped working. I’ve searched the internet for solution and people are suggesting to SMC and PRAM reset but my built-in and external keyboards are not working. I have brought my system to support and they are suggesting to have my keyboard and trackpad need to be replaced but I think this does not resolve the USB port issue. Anyone else have the same problem?
If both USB ports are not working with the USB keyboard and mouse see if you can use a powered USB hub (AC cord plugged in) to connect your keyboard and mouse to and then the hub into your system. Do the keyboard and mouse work then?
Try starting up in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift Key on start up. Let’s see if this is a possible software rather than hardware or a possible virus.
