My MacBook was dropped a few years ago and I never got it fixed. When I recently turned it on and connected it to the tv in order to see, I noticed it will not boot up. I’ve tried starting it and holding command and R in order to get to the disk utility. I was able to do a first aid check on the OS but not on the Macintosh HD. That option wasn’t available. I’ve also tried to let the system start and it takes me to a reset window. When I click forgot password, enter the credentials, it says it was “not able to connect to the”. I’d like to know a solution to this issue.
You best bet on this one may be to send it in to Apple for a “Flat Rate Fee” depot repair. With Tax and shipping, in the USA, this runs $357. From the day you call total repair time is four days. Does it show signs of a physical impact?
