That’s pretty much it. My microwave shorted out and took the kitchen electric out with it. The outlets don’t work and the lights won’t come on. Even the display clock on the stove went out. I know enough to not mess with anything, but I tried the breaker box and that didn’t work. Not surprising, since like I said, I know nothing. Please tell me what could be wrong/what I should do!
More than likely the circuit breaker supplying power to the kitchen will have to be reset. Unplug the microwave first then locate the panel box and look for a tripped breaker, when you find it flip it to the OFF position and then back to the ON position.
You should really unplug the microwave and call a qualified electrician… this site is for people having a go at repairs etc however as u have stated u know enough not to mess with anything and this is more than fixing a microwave etc its home wiring/electrics
