i broke a chunk of ice in my mini fridge freezer area……it was packed with ice.. a huge amount of air pressure seeped out when i broke the ice….then the rest of the ice melted…..and it stopped cooling … all i broke was ice …. its been 4 days and the fridge wont cool again what did i do wrong and is my fridge dead ?
@koolpoint it appears that you have punctured the liner. The pressurized chemical used to for the cooling of your fridge has escaped (huge amount of air pressure seeped out ). You could try a liner repair kit (search online) and then you will need a repair company to replace the coolant. For now, you might as well turn your fridge off and unplug it since you will otherwise damage the compressor further.
