My screen on my Nikon d53 nook00 is black. It will not turn on. I can’t see any of my setting, menu or anything on it. It does take pictures still. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it may be.
shine a bright light on the LCD, if you can make it out faintly then the LCD backlight has gone, if however you cant then you’ll need a new LCD screen, you can follow the guide for the D5200 which is very similar to the D5300 to replacing the LCD. Nikon D5200 Screen Replacement
Have you tried resetting the camera to factory default settings? You may have inadvertently changed settings
Solved. I replaced the display driver glued on to the back of the display. Et voila! The display works perfectly!!!
