Hi all! I woke up this morning to switch my tv on for it to turn off before any display is shown and shows 7 red blinks! The Model number is TH-37PV500. I have looked up the 7 red blinks and seen that it should be an issue with the SC board however I can’t find any help with regards to this particular model! Does this 7 blink rule mean the same on my TV? And if so will I be able to find anywhere that still stocks the part I need as the TV is now quite old! Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thank You!
Hi @triggsy Here’s an image taken from the Troubleshooting for Power supply guide, showing the 7 blink LED problem for a Panasonic TH-37PV500B and TH-37PV500E. Hopefully your TV is one of these two models.
(click on image to enlarge for better viewing) Here’s the service manual (I think- didn’t download it to look into it that far) that may also help with dis-assembly, schematics etc. Be patient when you go to download the guide/manual. After clicking on the reCAPTCHA checkbox and the Go to Download checkbox below the Document preview, it takes a little while to find the file before it changes from ….processing to Download. Click on Download for the download to commence. If you determine that the SC board is the problem, search online for Panasonic (insert SC “board number”) to hopefully get results for suppliers of the board. If the service manual has a parts list (usually they do) then perhaps the SC board part number may be shown and you can search for the part number i.e. Panasonic (insert SC board “part number”). Make sure that it is for your model as there are several different model variants contained in the manual. I’m not sure if the one board would cover all models Hopefully this is of some help.
