I put my phone on top of my car and when I drove off and pulled onto the highway, it fell off into the middle of the road. I drove down the road and came back when I realized what had slid off of the roof of my car. It was run over once that I saw, possibly more than that that I hadn’t seen. It had a lifeproof case on it, so the screen was intact and there are NO cosmetic problems whatsoever, not a scratch. But it has been doing strange things like connecting to wifi for about 5 seconds and then it will lose all 4 bars of the indicator and I have to turn the phone off to turn the wifi off and just run on data. The battery seems to be running out faster as well but that may be due to using exclusively data for activities and such. Also won’t let you have more than a couple apps open at once and will freeze and crash often, when working in setting or trying to delete or install things. It seems like it has a virus more than it’s malfunctioning due to being run over by a car it’s very strange.
First, I want to see pics. Not because they will help, I just want to see a phone that got ran over by a car and looked fine. That’s one for the wall of fame! You are describing board damage. The data issue could be as simple as a connector that got knocked loose and the battery could be as simple as the battery connector was pulled up. What .most likely happened was the case absorbed the shock of the fall, which is good. It also bore most of the weight of the car going over it, which is also good. The bad is that the screen is in the middle without that support and the screen is designed to flex. When the screen flexed, for a very short period of time, the weight of the car was on the board and battery. Open up your phone and inspect the battery for punctures, tears and bloating. Do this ASAP. LiPo fires are dangerous and very real. I mean it, do this now. Then inspect the battery connector to see if any pins are bent and that the connector is still firmly attached to the board. Right below that is your antenna, make sure that is still seated. If that all looks good, time time to inspect the IC’s. I would not be surprised to see some chipped chips. While you are in there, make sure the motherboard isn’t bent. Good luck
