My Phone Is Constantly Overheationg How Can I Fix That Google Pixel 3

Ever since replacing my Pixel 3’s battery my phone is overheating constantly, I’m guessing this is because in order to replace the battery I had to remove part of the thermal sticker that connected the battery to the main board (As seen in Step 13 of the battery replacement). When I did this step I wasn’t able to remove the sticker from the battery and just ended up tearing the sticker off the battery. What can I do to fix this? What can I add in the phone to help my phone’s thermals now that that this thermal sticker is damaged?
