My phone is not switching on. It is completely dead while on and off charging. No lights or sound. Pls help
Did it die all at once? Was it charging up until it stopped switching on? Usually this is caused by a dead battery. So the first step is to try another Samsung battery. If you have another Samsung phone available, even one that uses a smaller battery, you can still use it by holding it up tight to the battery pins while holding the power button. If it turns on see if the new battery will charge when you plug the phone in. If yes, your old battery is faulty and needs to be replaced. If no, your charging port is either dirty or broken and needs to be replaced. If it doesn’t come on at all (ie. no lights, no buzzing/vibrating, no sound) with a new battery there is likely a fault on the motherboard. This can be difficult to diagnose and repair. If it makes noise/vibrates/has lights but no picture on the screen the LCD is likely bad and needs to be replaced.
