Hello! My iPhone 7 Plus makes a very very loud buzzing/zapping noise when vibrating. It nearly gives me heart attacks when it’s quiet and it interrupts class every day because of it. I’ve seen suggestions to take it to an Apple store but there aren’t any where I live, not within 100 miles at least. Are there any suggestions that could help me quiet it? I’ve tried to place a shortened vibrate pattern, but it still is loud. And I can’t really turn off vibrate at all because I have to be able to know when I get a message.
Take it to a reputable local phone repair shop. Sounds like the screws for the vibrator are just loose and need retightening. If that does not fix the problem the taptic engine (vibrator motor) needs to be replaced. Generally the screws on these get loose or the motor goes bad after dropping the phone a lot.
My phone also makes weird vibrating sounds. I will ask my mom to take me to the apple store later.
